What is Cybertary?
Cybertary is the virtual assisting industry leader and the “first and only” turnkey virtual assisting franchise in the United States.
Cybertary is a nationwide network of highly skilled professional VAs, who provide “on-demand” administrative, creative and technical support to businesses, entrepreneurs and busy people. Cybertary provides reliable, cost-effective support services that are tailored to meet each client’s specific business needs and increase productivity.
This graphic illustrates how the collaborative nature of the Cybertary network works. Franchisees share client workload, giving projects to the Cybertary Team Member who is most highly qualified to meet the client’s support needs. This provides our clients the highest quality support while increasing franchisee earning potential, as franchisees make money on the productivity of other people.
Cybertary saves clients money since we work if and when needed, billing clients for productive time on task. Clients who partner with Cybertary also save time and gain freedom and increased efficiency by alleviating the workload burden of non-revenue-producing administrative tasks. This allows clients to focus their efforts on increasing revenues or taking time for themselves. So as we like to say… Cybertary is "Innovative Business Support...just a click away!"
As a Regional Representative, you will partner with us to develop larger regions where you will open and operate at least one Cybertary "Unit Franchise" office within your designated regional area. Our qualified Representatives will solicit and recruit prospective Single-Office franchisees within exclusive development areas. You will also provide coaching, training and guidance to each of the individual franchisees in your territory to help them succeed. In exchange for providing these sales and support services to your region, you will share in the initial franchise fees, as well as the monthly recurring payments from the franchisees in our region.
The development fee includes a Unit franchise for your pilot office, as well as an exclusive minimum development territory of approximately 2 million residents and/or 60,000 businesses. You can expand your exclusive region by paying an additional $0.05/resident.

In the News--Cybertary®, Inc. Celebrates October’s Women’s Small Business Month with First North Carolina Regional Developer, a Mother-Daughter Team in Charlotte
North Carolina Seeing Tremendous Growth in Women-Owned Businesses
(Roseville, CA – September 29, 2009) - Cybertary, Inc., a network of professional Virtual Assistants (VAs) supporting independent and small-business owners, announced the addition of its first North Carolina regional developer and second active franchise office in Charlotte. As we approach Women’s Small Business Month in October, it illustrates the tremendous growth of privately-held majority (51% or more) women-owned firms throughout North Carolina. In a 2006 study by the U.S. Small Business Administration, North Carolina was ranked fifth in the nation for women-owned business growth. Franchise developers and mother and daughter, Emma Farmer and Aisha Horne will sell Cybertary franchises in the greater Charlotte – Mecklenburg and Raleigh - Wake areas as well as operate their own franchise in the greater Charlotte area. Cybertary also has an existing South Charlotte office owned by Tracy Phipps.
Emma Farmer and daughter Aisha Horne always dreamed of owning a business together. Farmer spent the last 22 ½ years in the hospitality industry where she performed as Director of Sales, General Manager and Area General Manager for Marriott International. Over the past 7 ½ years, Emma served as General Manager, Director of Revenue Management, Director of Operations and most recently V.P. of Operations and Sales for SREE Hotels, a successful franchise in the Charlotte area. Farmer brings her experience in leadership, training and development, team building, human resources, operations, sales and marketing.
“I most enjoy building, leading, managing, motivating and mentoring professional talent,” explained Farmer. “I’m proud that I have helped develop many young associates who started in line level positions and are now leaders in the hotel industry.”
Horne has more than 12 years of professional experience which include hospitality management, banquet coordinating, accounting, human resources and sales. She spent many of her professional years working with Residence Inn by Marriott and has most recently been with Relax the Back Store. She enjoys applying her many talents to “delight” her clients and exceed their expectations.
Farmer and Horne are the first franchise developers for Cybertary in North Carolina, as well as the first Cybertary franchise developers west of the Mississippi. “We look forward to working with local businesses to help them become more efficient in their daily business activities. I will market the business and develop the teams while Aisha will be the day-to-day manager of client projects with the appropriate team members,” said Farmer.
Cybertaries work within a diversely talented team who seamlessly collaborate to meet the changing demands of small businesses. Cybertaries provide reliable support tailored to increase productivity and decrease non-revenue producing tasks. Cybertary clients save time and money, paying only for time spent on task without the burdens of payroll and overhead. According to the Small Business Administration, small firms total approximately 23 million in the United States, and roughly 75 percent have no employees. Therefore, many small business owners are out there trying to “do it all”. Cybertary and other professional Virtual Assistants are increasingly popular since they relieve business owners of the bookkeeping, data entry and other marketing tasks so they can focus on their clients or take time off.
Cybertary has been a great investment for Valerie Dow and Tina Angell, regional franchise owners in Sacramento, California. "In just six months we increased our client base, expanded our team, and more than doubled our revenue," explained Dow. "Running a successful, professional business from home has been more rewarding than we anticipated. It's the ideal business model for those who want a flexible work schedule and competitive wage."
Flexibility has been the key for Tracy Phipps, Cybertary-South Charlotte franchisee. “I’m thrilled to be able to set my hours and rates, choose my own clients and determine which services I want to offer small businesses. Being available for my family during my husband’s deployment to Iraq has been invaluable. Cybertary lets me have it all!”
"Cybertary franchisees are able to match the business support need with the talent. The Cybertary franchise network creates the support infrastructure that gives the business owner the resources they need to meet any administrative challenge, while simultaneously providing an opportunity for business professionals to leave the corporate world and build their own home-based business,” explained Cybertary Founder and CEO, Patricia Beckman. “We’re thrilled to bring Emma Farmer and Aisha Horne on board and are excited to see the expansion of the Cybertary network across the U.S." ….
The Cybertary Trend and the Virtual Assistant Industry
Cybertary’s further expansion into Charlotte illustrates a growth trend in majority woman-owned business throughout North Carolina. According to the Center for Women’s Business Research (CWBR) in 2006, there were 211,980 privately-held, majority (51% or more) women-owned firms in North Carolina. That’s a 63% increase from the CWBR’s 1997 research and exceeds the national growth average of 42.3% for the same time period. However, the number of employer firms has only grown 24%, indicating that many of these businesses are sole-proprietor businesses. Therefore North Carolina is a great environment for a business like Cybertary that caters to solopreneurs and entrepreneurs.
