Franchise Income Potential

Income Potential

No matter how successful a business model is – regardless if
its franchise or non-franchise – someone can not simply
replicate that model if they are not prepared to run the
business the way it should be.

Location, capital, management skill, an aptitude for
decision-making, hard work, and demographics are
critical factors in making your business thrive.

It isn’t always easy to determine just how much you can make by operating your own franchise. Robert E. Bond, author of How Much Can I Make, correctly points out that no one can tell you (much less guarantee) how much you can earn in a specific investment. If someone does, run the other way. They are not telling you the truth. No matter how successful a business model is – regardless if its franchise or non-franchise – someone can not simply replicate that model if they are not prepared to run the business the way it should be. There are so many critical factors to consider.

For instance, a highly-trafficked location is critical to the success of a retail business. Sufficient capital is critical. Management skill and an aptitude for decision-making are critical. Hard work is critical. Demographics are critical. The list goes on. The responsibility to ensure that all these critical factors are met lies squarely on your shoulders. Miscalculate the importance of any of these critical factors or miss one and the chances that your business will thrive and succeed to your expectations disappears.

Determining a realistic and manageable projection of sales, expenses and profits is probably the most important factor for any business or franchise. The big question being how much can you realistically expect to take home after working 65 hours a week for 52 weeks a year? This is a daunting question for a prospective franchisee.

Clearly, if you lack the applied experience in a particular business, how can you expect to sit down and project your profits over the next five years? There is one potential source that can supply you.
